On Saturday, Dec 19 Camp Craig Allen had their annual Christmas party in a big way. It was combined together as not only a Christmas party, but also a Winterfest that included a sports clinic that allowed wheelchair hockey and basketball players to play on a full court!
“Having the whole NBA stadium for full court manual basketball then switching over to full court power wheelchair hockey was epic for our players,” says Dawn Cruzan president of Camp Craig Allen with excitement!! “Then we had dinner, gave away awesome raffle items, everyone got to meet the players then ended the party with incredible floor or suites seats for everyone to stay for the game! The Legends were the amazing host and it was an incredible opportunity to love on our players in this big way,” Cruzan adds!!!!
Before the wheelchair games began Turning Point, Mike Shipka/United Access, Generous George/Texas Legends were given awards of gratitude from Camp Craig Allen for their volunteer efforts and collaborative partnerships:
Getting to hear the angelic voice of Lauren Taylor as she performed the singing of the national anthem, and the Lone Star Chapter– Paralyzed Veterans of America did the colors!:
